Citation :Kodak Black was sentenced to 120 days in county jail after he pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor drug charges in a Fort Pierce courtroom on Monday.

The 19-year-old Pompano Beach rapper, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, won't serve the entire four months, however, because he was given credit for the time already spent behind bars.

"At the end of the day, for St. Lucie County, I think he did well," said his attorney, James Regan.

Octave pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of possession of 20 grams or less of cannabis, and a misdemeanor charge of use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

His driver's license will also be suspended for a year, and he must pay court costs of $298, court records show.

The case stemmed from a Dec. 25, 2015 traffic stop on Florida's Turnpike in St. Lucie County. When Octave failed to appear in court on July 25 in connection with that case, a bench warrant was issued for his arrest. At the time, he was in jail in Broward.

But the young rapper's legal saga is expected to continue.

Although St. Lucie County jail records listed his expected release date as Nov. 30, 2016, he still faces a charge of criminal sexual conduct in South Carolina.

According to the Florence County Sheriff's Office, Octave is accused of committing sexual battery at a hotel in Florence around the time he played a show at a club in that city earlier this year.

"According to investigators, on or about February 7, 2016, Octave is alleged to have engaged in the sexual battery of the victim at a hotel located at 2120 West Lucas Street, Florence, SC," Major Michael M. Nunn, a spokesman for the Florence County Sheriff's Office, wrote in a statement in August.

In South Carolina, a criminal sexual conduct charge can occur under a number of circumstances. A victim could be forced to have sex through aggravated force, during a kidnapping or while physically helpless due to the influence of a controlled substance. The crime carries a punishment of up to 30 years in prison.

It wasn't clear if and when Octave would potentially be extradited to South Carolina after serving his sentence in the St. Lucie County Jail.

"I can't comment on that," Regan said.

Before his stint in St. Lucie, Octave had spent several months on unrelated charges in the Broward County jail. Those charges, which included robbery, false imprisonment, fleeing a law enforcement officer and possession of a firearm by a delinquent — carried a maximum sentence of 55 years.

In an Aug. 16 hearing in a Fort Lauderdale courtroom, Judge Lisa Porter approved a plea deal, sentencing Octave to a year of house arrest and five years of probation.

The jubilation from his family, friends, some fans, and record executives in the courtroom over that outcome was short-lived. Just as Octave was about to be released from the Broward Main Jail, deputies discovered the St. Lucie and South Carolina arrest warrants.

He would instead stay in the Broward jail until Aug. 23, when he was transferred to the St. Lucie County Jail, about 100 miles north of Fort Lauderdale.

Signed to Atlantic Records, Kodak Black has over the past several years built a growing buzz with his mixtapes, released through a local independent record label, Dollaz N Dealz. His YouTube videos have millions of views, and he's been touted as one of the most exciting emerging rappers.
